One of the defining moments of his college career came on March 31, 2009 when he threw a two-hitter over eight innings, allowing only one earned run and recording two strikeouts, leading the Bears to a victory over Fordham. This outstanding performance earned Lou a spot among NYIT's "Great Moments in NYIT History." Through his skill and performance, Lou earned 2x state selection as well as conferance MVP twice. His exceptional contributions to the team and outstanding achievements led to his induction into the Herricks High School Hall of Fame as a member of the 2006 induction class.
